As the calendar pages turn and the world moves inexorably towards July 2025, we find actor Joseph Quinn heating up. The Brit is preparing to set global screens ablaze when he steps into the role of Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch, in Marvel’s reboot of “The Fantastic Four.” The ensemble comic book saga also features Pedro Pascal, the chameleon-like Chilean-American actor, Vanessa Kirby, the English crown jewel, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, the American master of understatement, as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, and Ben Grimm/

In a recent tête-à-tête with Men’s Health Magazine, Quinn spilled the beans about his role transformation journey. When asked if he’s been pumping iron for the role, Quinn responded, “I am. I’ve been training with this chap, Tim, who possesses an uncanny ability to make me do things that my body wishes it were dead to avoid. We’re slowly crafting an appropriate look for the role. Nothing over the top, just enough to look believable.”

Intriguingly, Quinn hasn’t reached out to Chris Evans or Michael B. Jordan, both of who had previously set the bar high as Johnny Storm in past Fantastic Four franchises. “Maybe I should, but I’d rather tread my own path,” he observed, “Both of them were knockouts, no doubt. But the way I see it, a little reverence for the past combined with a good dose of personal innovation couldn’t hurt in carving out my own path.”

Quinn’s enthusiasm spilled over when he spoke about Moss-Bachrach. “The man’s a veritable font of wit. With rehearsal time beckoning, we’ll have the opportunity to fine-tune our relational dynamics. I honestly couldn’t have asked for more invigorating co-stars and I intend to match them in vigor and liveliness.”

“The Fantastic Four” is set to hit US theaters like a meteor on July 25, 2025, courtesy of Marvel Studios. So come 2025, strap yourself in for this fiery reboot flick that’s bound to make summer even hotter.
