In a surprising turn of events, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has just welcomed a new addition in the form of Sabretooth, Wolverine’s old arch-nemesis, in the latest Deadpool & Wolverine trailer. And no, we’re not talking about the slick and suave Sabretooth portrayed by Liev Schreiber in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Instead, we’re talking about the shaggy, Grizzly Adams cosplaying Sabretooth from the very first X-Men film back in 2000, played by Tyler Mane. Who knew we’d ever see that design on screen again?The Deadpool & Wolverine trailer promises some very surprising Fox X-Men cameos, with Sabretooth being just the tip of the iceberg. It seems like no surprise will be left unspoiled in this film.

Aside from Sabretooth, Deadpool & Wolverine is set to feature several members of X-Force from Deadpool 2, as well as the unexpected return of Jennifer Garner as Elektra from Fox’s Daredevil (yes, that one). After director Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds struggled to come up with a satisfying premise for the third Deadpool installment, Jackman swooped in during a break from The Music Man on Broadway and pitched the idea to Reynolds and Levy.
