Chances are that we are similar. We love reading trade paperbacks but always run into shelf space problems. Whether it is from trying a new series or simply upgrading from a regular trade paperback to a deluxe edition, there just isn’t enough space to store them all. How can I solve it? By trading books that I probably won’t read again with other fans. We want to build a community where people trade their used trade paperbacks with others.
Excellent question. For this to work you need to create an account with us that will allow you to see all the books that can be traded. Part of creating your account is to select all the books you have to trade to build your personal online library. Keep in mind that if you trade it, you won’t get it back. You can always come back to your library and add or remove titles. After you’ve listed your wares then start searching to see who has the books you are looking for! When you do find a book that interests you, message that member asking them to look at your library to see if there is anything they would like to trade you for. If you each agree to a trade you click it and add it to your cart. So far so good! The last step is the shipping information. We created a QR code for you to take to your post office. It is media mail shipping plus $0.50 per book to ship. That $0.50 is what allows us to keep this site going!
Trade one book for one book. It’s not allowed for you to ask for two or three books because the one you are willing to trade is in demand. It’s only trade paperback or graphic novels, nothing with advertising in it. Why is that? We ship with media mail, which is currently $3.49 plus the cost of whatever mailer you would like to use. Adding in the site fees you can get new-to-you stories for $3.99! Media mail is great but has some limitations. Shipping takes 2-8 days, you can’t insure it or track it, and you cannot have correspondences or advertising in your books. Not to worry though, you can talk to each other in the forums or in messenger! You are also able to sell your books to each other if you can’t agree on a trade. We limit that to a flat rate of 60% of whatever the book’s current price on Amazon is, plus the $0.50 per book for the site.
