Val was an American metalhead. She loved her music heavy and her trips intense. One day she found herself in Oslo for a festival. Fate had a cruel plan that day. Unfortunately, she became a victim, killed by a sinister local black metal band. But her story wasn’t over. The Old Gods of Norse Mythology had another idea. They saw her plight and decided to grant her a second shot at life. Their aim was to aid her in her quest for brutal vengeance in the names of women worldwide. The question now is: would she accept the warrior’s path? Or would she morph into an entity far more terrifying?

The Awakened Goddess: Creeping Below #1

Renowned writer Brian Azzarello takes the lead in this new saga. He teams up with noted artist Vanesa Del Rey, who brings color to this tale alongside Hilary Jenkins. Andworld Design gives life to the characters with their impressive lettering skills.

Their work, “The Creeping Below #1,” is slated for release on October 2, 2024. The stunning cover is the work of Vanesa Del Rey. Illustrators Maria Llovet, Mike Deodato Jr., Jae Lee, and June Chung also grace us with their variant covers.

Images of an impending descent into darkness fill the series. The gods above face an undercurrent of creeping evil below in a bloody, black metal revenge saga.

The Rise

BOOM! Studios announced this exciting news on September 6, 2024. Proudly labeling “The Creeping Below #1” the latest addition to their critically acclaimed original series. The list includes top titles like “BRZRKR” by Keanu Reeves, “Something is Killing the Children” and “A Vicious Circle.”

The Fall

Around the corner is the official release of “The Creeping Below #1” in comic shops on October 2, 2024. A digital copy can be scooped up from other platforms such as Kindle, iBooks, and Google Play.
