Suspicions abound after Agatha’s episode 3 performance in her eponymous show – Agatha All Along. Renowned in the witch community, it’s claimed Agatha once traversed the Witches’ Road, a perilous path that only the bravest attempt. However, her recent actions have cast a shadow of doubt over these feats.

Unraveling Agatha’s Authenticity

Agatha Harkness is an enigma, even in WandaVision where we first met her. With a penchant for deceit, she’s never been trustworthy. However, as we dive deep into her solo venture, her credibility especially concerning the Witches’ Road is being called into question.

Conversing with Teen, Agatha’s unease about walking the Road again is palpable. Maybe it’s trauma from her past experience. Or perhaps, it’s more about her ignorance. Her know-how seems to be merely theoretical, stagnating at the fundamentals.

Is Agatha the Fabled Witch She Claims to Be?

Observing her assemble her coven, she appears to know the drill until she messes up by overlooking a green witch. Following this blunder, she stumbles in opening the gateway to the Road. A weak attempt to justify this hiccup makes it glaringly obvious: her experience may be fabricated.

Her source of power seems to hinge more on deception than real strength. For instance, her intention while forming the coven was far from noble. It was all a ploy to steal their powers. Her hesitation and surprise when the gate to the Road finally opened and sealed, expose her unfamiliarity.

Facing the first trial, Agatha’s apprehension is clear. Trying to skip partaking in rituals exposes her ignorance. A seasoned Road walker would know better than to try and cheat the trials.

Also, let’s not forget the blurred details surrounding Agatha’s past encounters with the Road. Given that her power isn’t dependent on it and the lack of any appeal towards it, her supposed journey seems dubious. With an untrustworthy persona, it’s hard to believe that she’d do the required work to walk the Road.

Cryptic Clues and Visions

In contrast, we had Lilia Calderu’s vision in episode 2 via her cry, “Save Agatha”. This dramatic proclamation adds another layer of intrigue.

Let’s not rule out that Agatha’s suspicious behavior could be rooted in trauma. The Witches’ Road, already claiming a life, could have left her with haunting memories. But with her manipulative tendencies, it’s hard to not smell a lie.

The truth about Agatha’s past experiences with the Road could greatly influence the witch’s journey ahead. For now, all we can do is speculate and wait for the web to unravel.
