Black Widow’s New Symbiote Power
One of Marvel’s greatest spies just got an upgrade thanks to the infamous Venom symbiote. Black Widow: Venom #1 kicks off with a lone guard atop a secluded Alchemax facility. He quickly stomps a black widow spider, unaware it was just one of many under Black Widow’s control.
Black Widow’s Dark History
Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow, has been part of Marvel’s universe since her 1964 debut alongside Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye. She began as a villain attacking Iron Man before joining Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Despite setbacks, she’s remained Marvel’s top spy.
During the 2017 Secret Empire event, Black Widow died fighting Hydra’s Captain America. Less than a year later, she returned as a clone, retaining all her original memories, allowing her to resume her role seamlessly.
A Venomous Bond
While investigating the terrorist group No One, Natasha found a piece of the Venom symbiote. In Venom #23, she bonded with it faster than any previous host. Natasha and Venom quickly mastered their abilities, a feat that took others months or years.
