7 Konami Series by Silent Hill 2 Remake Studio

In the world of horror gaming, Bloober Team has achieved a major milestone. Their remake of "Silent Hill 2" not only garnered glowing reviews, but also sold over 2 million copies on PlayStation 5 and PC. Following this success, the Polish horror maestros have sparked excitement with an intriguing announcement. Konami, with its storied legacy, is allowing Bloober to work on a new game, intriguingly codenamed "Project G."

Bloober Team Thrives in Collaboration

“Our collaboration with Konami has been incredibly fruitful," remarked Bloober Team CEO, Piotr Babieno. This statement came within a recent press release on Tuesday, and his enthusiasm was palpable. "The success of Silent Hill 2 speaks for itself," he continued. Notably, the two companies have exchanged vast knowledge, enhancing their ability to produce high-quality games together. Although Babieno kept tight-lipped about specifics, he assured fans of an extraordinary experience on the horizon.

The question on everyone’s mind: Which franchise will Bloober Team bring to life next? Konami’s treasure trove of IPs offers tantalizing possibilities. While another "Silent Hill" remake seems straightforward, an entirely new entry might offer fans even greater excitement. It’s worth noting that "Silent Hill f," the eighth in the series, is already in production at NeoBards Entertainment.

The Konami Treasure Trove

Could Bloober Team pivot to another iconic series? Castlevania, with its gothic roots, seems a plausible candidate. However, moving beyond horror could be a stretch for the studio, given Castlevania’s emphasis on combat and platforming. Unquestionably thrilling, this would still require a cross-genre leap for Bloober.

Then, there’s Metal Gear—a franchise tangled in its own legacy and historical significance! Continual development without Hideo Kojima seems almost unthinkable. However, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater’s producer, Noriaki Okamura, hinted at potential leadership within the remake’s team. Despite this, specifics on future titles remain shrouded in mystery.

Exploring Lesser-Known Realms

Beyond the blockbusters, Konami’s portfolio has several lesser-known jewels. For instance, the high-octane Contra series, which could be reimagined with survival horror elements. This would play to Bloober’s strengths in immersive third-person exploration. Or perhaps the dormant fantasy RPG series Suikoden could see a revival—a nod to die-hard fans. Throw in the gritty RPG Vandal Hearts for good measure, and possibilities abound.

Bloober Team’s credibility now shines, largely thanks to the Silent Hill 2 triumph. Fans are ready to embrace whatever new title emerges. That said, any expectations should steer clear of a new Frogger game. With so much on the table, the gaming community eagerly awaits Bloober’s next move.
