“Crisis on Infinite Earths” Episode features discussion with Kevin…

Butch Lukic Discusses Conroy’s Final Batman Role

Animated superhero flicks have a habit of ripping your heartstrings out when least expected. Butch Lukic, the brains behind “Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths,” has spilled the beans on a super-punch straight to the feels: Kevin Conroy’s farewell performance as Batman.

Conroy’s Final Performance

Best remembered for his gruff yet soothing Batman voice, Conroy bid the world adieu in November 2022. However, he left one last voicing marvel in “Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part Three.”

“Faced with the unrelenting Anti-Monitor, the remaining Earths soldier on in a pocket universe,” teases the movie synopsis. “Heroes from time flock to the last-ditch Justice League contingent to face malevolence. But will their ultimate sacrifice save us?”

The Batman Swan Song: Lukic Spills The Tea

In an exclusive chat with ComingSoon, Lukic shared insights about Conroy’s final role. “When we hatched the Batman-Joker showdown on the rooftop, we aimed to visualize that era for fans,” says Lukic. “The antimatter waves added a certain ‘je ne sais quoi.’ Teasing Kevin about ‘knocking off Batman’ was always fun, knowing it’s just celluloid fantasy.”

What began as light-hearted banter in the studio turned bittersweet with time. Conroy’s sudden death transformed an epic film finale into a poignant voice acting swan song.
