BOOM! Studios Unveils New FIREFLY Origin Comic Series
BOOM! Studios are dishing out undisclosed confessions, delving into the painstaking raw-cut memoirs of Serenity’s gun-toting first mate, Zoë Alleyne. Guiding us through the labyrinth of her fictional past is the dynamic duo of writer Sam Humphries and artist Giovanni Fabiano whose debut collaboration brought us ‘Firefly: Malcolm Reynolds Year One’. The color wheel is manned by Gloria Martinelli, who engrossed readers in ‘Firefly: The Fall Guys’. This triumphant trio is blasting up once again in ‘FIREFLY: ZOË ALLEYNE YEAR ONE’, slated for landing this fall.
Origins Story Sheds Light on the Enigmatic Zoë
Going to war is hell, especially between the Alliance and Browncoats. Add an abruptly discarded bank robbery into the mix, and you’ve got a sweltering pressure cooker. Under these circumstances, Mal and Zoë find camaraderie; forging the evergreen bond the Firefly fans have been hooked on and seizing the spotlight so strategically left vacant for their unforgettable partnership.
Humphries confessed his affinity for Zoë, expressing his thrills to portray Zoë’s evolution into the adored Browncoat. Alluding to the Unification War’s brutal repercussions on their lives, Humphries warned that Zoë’s journey is not immune. Humphries gushed about Giovanni’s work, paralleling it with the silver screen hits and praising its dynamism, mobility, and complication that resonates with Zoë’s persona.
Artist Giovanni Fabiano echoed the sentiment, communicating excitement over the gripping storyline that held him spellbound till the final script curtain. He relayed his pride in adding vibrant strokes to Humphries’ well-crafted world, particularly since it brought him great joy.
