Invincible Season 3: Every Episode Feels Like a Finale
Robert Kirkman, the mastermind behind “Invincible,” promises that Season 3 will redefine high stakes in superhero storytelling. He teased earlier this year that each episode will “feel like a finale.” Now, as the show’s return nears, he elaborates on why this season will be the darkest yet.
“The stakes are really high, and the content is really dense,” Kirkman said during a roundtable at San Diego Comic-Con. “We’ve set up many stories in seasons 1 and 2 that are coming to a head in season 3. So, every episode does kind of feel like a finale.”
Kirkman continued, “There’s something big in every episode. There’s a massive conclusion, a huge evolution of a character, or a story turn that happens in every episode. I’m really excited for everyone to finally see season 3 because it’s gonna be crazy.”
A Darker Turn for Invincible
During the Invincible panel at San Diego Comic-Con, fans got a sneak peek at season 3, featuring Mark Grayson in his new blue suit. Kirkman hinted at the series’ evolution and its darker tone. “It’s growing darker season by season,” he said. “Mark was in a strange place at the end of every season, but especially after season 2, having killed Angstrom Levy. That’s really going to weigh on him and influence every decision and action he takes in season 3. It’s going to change the way the show operates.”
Mark’s new suit symbolizes a shift in his character and the series’ tone. The creators aim to delve deeper into Mark’s psyche, exploring the consequences of his actions and the burden of his choices.
Anticipating Season 3’s Release
Although there is no official release date for Invincible season 3, Kirkman assured fans that it’s not far off. He also hinted at whether the upcoming season might be split into several parts, keeping the audience eagerly anticipating each new episode.
Stay tuned for more updates on Invincible season 3, and prepare for a season filled with high stakes, dark turns, and epic finales.
