Netflix’s “Sakamoto Days” Trailer Released

Netflix’s “Sakamoto Days” Trailer Drops: Hitman Meets Retail

Netflix has us buzzing about 2025 with the trailer for the new hitman anime, “Sakamoto Days.” It’s giving serious John Wick vibes with a twist.

Based on Yuto Suzuki’s ongoing manga, the anime follows Taro Sakamoto, a legendary hitman who traded his guns for a quiet life as a shopkeeper. Surrounded by his family, Sakamoto thought his days of killing were behind him.

However, as the trailer reveals, Sakamoto was once a cocky, swaggering killer. He retired, got married, and left his violent past. But fellow hitmen are on his trail, forcing Sakamoto to pick up his weapons to protect his loved ones.

A Blend of Action and Comedy

From what we’ve seen, “Sakamoto Days” promises a mix of action and comedy. It offers a lighter touch than John Wick’s grim revenge saga but still packs a punch. The ultimate hitman coming out of retirement to save his family while working in retail is a concept that blends thrills with laughs.

Scheduled for release in January 2025, “Sakamoto Days” is already creating a buzz. But Netflix isn’t just banking on this. They have a loaded lineup to keep us entertained until then.

Upcoming Netflix Hits

Netflix has plenty more in store before “Sakamoto Days” hits our screens. “Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft,” starring Hayley Atwell, arrives on October 10. “The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep,” featuring Geralt’s game actor Doug Cockle, premieres later this year.

Additionally, “Terminator Zero” lands on Judgment Day, August 29. The highly anticipated “Dandadan” arrives in October. And most exciting of all, “Arcane” season 2 continues the thrilling tales of Jinx and Vi this November.

So, mark your calendars and get ready for a Netflix lineup that promises to deliver action, adventure, and unforgettable stories.
