Here’s What You’ve Been Waiting for: A Peter Wisdom Deleted Scene
By August Tales
All right, let’s get real. While “Deadpool & Wolverine” was a high-octane thrill ride, everybody knew Peter Wisdom was the true star. His lovable, nerdy persona won us all over, and we couldn’t get enough. Thankfully, a new deleted scene gives us the extended Peter time we’ve all been itching for.
Walking with Loki
Titled “Daddy’s in Love,” the deleted scene shows our hero Peter pacing down a hallway with fan-favorite Loki. Accompanied by B-15, Wunmi Mosaku’s character, Peter could finally chance upon the love he’s been seeking. Needless to say, expect a phrase to be exuberantly exclaimed – relating to the scene’s title.
Returning on “Deadpool & Wolverine,” Rob Delaney reprised his role as car salesman Peter, alongside Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson, AKA Deadpool. Remember Rob’s memorable turn as Rob Norris in the TV show, “Catastrophe”? Fond memories. However, our hero met an untimely demise by the end of the movie, along with his fellow X-Force comrades. Thankfully, though, Deadpool saved the day – and Peter – with efficient use of time-travel in a post-credits sequence.
The Physical Release
Recently, “Deadpool & Wolverine” rolled out its digital release on major platforms like Prime Video, Fandango, and Apple TV on Oct. 1. In anticipation of the eagerly awaited physical release, Marvel Studios have started sharing deleted scenes, as additional content for bonus-hungry fans. “Daddy’s in Love” notably follows the already revealed deleted scene, “Elevator Ride.”
More to Come
Set to drop later this month on Oct. 22, the physical release promises surprising extras like director’s commentary and gag reels. Gear up for 4K UHD Blu-ray beauties delivered in two unique Steelbooks. One for Deadpool fans, and one for Wolverine adherents.
Ever since its theater opening in late July, “Deadpool & Wolverine” has raked in an astounding $1.33 billion. This impressive figure places it second only to Disney Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” as the top-grossing film globally this year. Just goes to show, the world can’t get enough of our nerdy hero, Peter.
