Konami is diving into nostalgia with the upcoming release of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection on the Nintendo Switch. This bundle delivers 14 iconic titles from the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance eras. Scheduled to drop on February 27, 2025, it’s a trip back to the roots of this beloved franchise.

A Blast from the Past

The collection pulls together gems like Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters (1998), Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters II: Dark Duel Stories (1999), and Yu-Gi-Oh! Monster Capsule GB (2000). These games capture the original essence of Yu-Gi-Oh!, promising a nostalgic journey for long-time fans. Moreover, new players can dive into the series’ foundational moments.

Recently, Konami released a trailer revealing exciting new features that enhance gameplay. Notably, players can now unlock hidden characters and cards, adding intriguing layers to duels. You can also rewind, fast forward, or reset duels, granting more control. Meanwhile, the Digital Gallery features vintage box art and manuals, evoking waves of nostalgia.
