Preview of Batman: Caped Crusader Clip…

“New Batman Series Teases Catwoman-Bruce Dynamic”

Gotham’s own royal pain meets felonious feline: the formula is all set for the highly anticipated Prime Video series, Batman: Caped Crusader. The most recent teaser clip is making rounds on the internet, giving us a peek into the coquettish banter that ensues between Bruce Wayne, played by Hamish Linklater, and Selina Kyle aka Catwoman, the character brought to life by Christina Ricci.

The suave billionaire and his purring adversary are caught in a rendezvous that takes place, quite fittingly, in a setting resembling an auction or a museum. What unfolds in this fleeting moment is a subtle, playful exchange—it seems Ms. Kyle is irked about being the only lady not yet honored with one of Wayne’s infamous romantic outings.

Lifting The Lid On Gotham’s Playground

The series’ announced premiere date is all set to give the hero-obsessed a summer thrill ride, fixed on August 1, 2024, with all its episodes lined up on Prime Video for a back-to-back viewing party, our favorite kind of party.

As for the story we’re diving into, Batman: Caped Crusader reincarnates Gotham’s masked vigilante with modern animation techniques, sophisticated storytelling, and nuanced characters. It promises intense action sequences and a visually striking world. The dark knight himself—yeah, he requires no introduction—is played by Hamish Linklater.

The voice cast also includes the likes of Christina Ricci, Jamie Chung, Diedrich Bader, Eric Morgan Stuart, Michelle C. Bonilla, among others, and hails from the creative triad—executive producers Bruce Timm (Batman: The Animated Series), J.J. Abrams (Star Trek, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker), and Matt Reeves (The Batman, The Penguin).

Originally grooving to the tune of Max, Amazon MGM Studios finally snagged the series for a two-season order in March 2023. Inspired by DC’s comic kingdom, Batman: Caped Crusader is produced by Warner Bros. Animation, Bad Robot Productions, and 6th & Idaho, with the executive planning steered by Ed Brubaker and Sam Register.

Now, all we have to do is bask in this teasing tango between the bat and the cat until the series gets rolling. Check out the exclusive teaser clip below to witness the exchange between Gotham’s most eligible bachelor and its notorious cat burglar.
