Preview of Green Lantern: Fractured Spectrum #1

As the universe spirals into chaos, the Green Lantern Corps strives to reclaim its former glory. Taken over by the United Planets, recent events pushed the Corps to the brink. Now, they’re on the rebound, but danger lurks on the horizon. The preview of "Green Lantern: Fractured Spectrum #1" teases more turmoil ahead for our emerald warriors.

A New Dawn Casts Shadows

As the storyline unfolds, Hal Jordan reflects on his recent wins. The Corps is reforging its strength, and his romance with Carol Danvers burns bright. Yet, a shadow looms large as Sorrow, a new villain, seeks to unravel the secrets of the mystic Book of Oa. Trouble seems inevitable.

Unveiling Fractured Spectrum

Crafted by Jeremy Adams with striking art by V. Ken Marion, "Fractured Spectrum" is set to redefine the Corps’ narrative. Despite their base restored on Oa, challenges multiply. A new series from DC promises to focus on the Green Lantern Corps (GLC). However, threats call, shaking the fledgling peace.

The Rise of the Fractal Lanterns

Emerging from the chaos, a mysterious faction called the “Fractal Lanterns” stands poised to disrupt. These beings channel the Emotional Spectrum, now strained under immense pressure. Their abilities manifest in bizarre yet powerful manners, thanks to these stresses. As patterns crumble, new dangers take form.

Sorrow and the Spectrum’s Dark Side

Among the threats is Sorrow, who draws from Depression much like Lanterns draw from Will. Like the Green Lantern Corps, earlier rings wielded Rage, Avarice, Fear, Hope, Compassion, and Love. Meanwhile, White and Black Lanterns harness Life and Death. Yet, Sorrow’s true motives remain shrouded, and his interest in the Book of Oa could spell doom for Hal and his team.
