Wynonna Earp: Vengeance Heads to Tubi

By: August Tales

Hold onto your hats, Earpers. Wynonna Earp, the cult favorite Syfy series, is gearing up for a triumphant return. And this time, it’s making a foray into film with the brand-new movie, Wynonna Earp: Vengeance.

Kicking Off the Reunion

Just a week shy of making its Tubi debut, there’s already some buzz around the revival. As it turns out, several promotional photos have been released, firing up fans’ anticipation. Melanie Scrofano, who starred as the demon slaying, tongue-in-cheek, badass herself Wynonna Earp, will reprise her role.
It’s here that the tale of Wyatt Earp’s gun-slinging descendant, juggling her demon hunting duties in sleepy-town Purgatory, gets a fresh shot of life. This time, she’s facing a villain with a personal vendetta.

A Personal War

In the past, Wynonna’s enemies had one common denominator: they were after her because she was an Earp. However, this film shakes things up. The antagonist in Wynonna Earp: Vengeance has a bone to pick with Wynonna herself. Her with her allies, therefore, are squaring off against a fiercer foe this time.
Scrofano agrees that this villain marks a new milestone in terms of terror. “Wynonna’s most frightened she’s ever been,” she says. These images from the movie are now available, and fans can check out more at Entertainment Weekly.

A Blast from the Past

“But it’s not just about moving forward,” adds Emily Andras, the series showrunner and writer of the Vengeance script. “The past finds ways of catching up, haunting you with a vengeance, so to say. This is a challenge Wynonna and her team haven’t faced before.”

Introducing a formidable villain is just one compelling piece. According to the official synopsis for Wynonna Earp: Vengeance, it spins a gripping tale: a sassy, demon-slaying, whiskey-loving heiress must take up the mantle once more. This time, she faces a psychotic, revenge-thirsty villainess wrecking havoc on everyone Wynonna cares about.

Familiar Faces Return

The film holds more than a few familiar faces. Fans will be thrilled to see not just Melanie Scrofano (Wynonna) but also Tim Rozon (Doc Holliday), Dominique Provost-Chalkley (Waverly Earp), and Katherine Barrell (Nicole Haught).

Wynonna Earp: Vengeance is rightfully hailed a reunion. With SEVEN24 Films tying up with Cineflix Studios and Emily Andras at the helm, it promises to be a cinematic joyride. Add to that Beau Smith, who whipped up the original IDW Publishing graphic novel, and there’s a lot to look forward to.

As we wait for its Tubi premiere, one thing’s certain: the Earpers are in for a rollercoaster ride. So prepare for the explosive return of Wynonna Earp, strap in, and brace yourself for Vengeance.
