Godfather of Hell: A Demonic Noir Debuts
Dealing with The Underworld in a Brand New Light
Life in the underworld isn’t all glitz, glam, or spaghetti dinners heavy with garlic bread—it has its own hardships. Its perks, occasionally yes, but hardships nonetheless. But, as it turns out, taking turns with the underworld paybacks has its own dark pleasures and endless thrills, as long as you don’t mind the occasional mortal wounding. If chronicling the godforsaken swamps of crime and danger tickles your intrigue, then you’d best prepare for “GODFATHER OF HELL,” a new supernatural noir series penned by maven New York Times Bestseller Cavan Scott (Star Wars: The High Republic, Shadow Service) and utter genius of Bram Stoker Award-winning artist Pius Bak (Eat the Rich, The Magicians).
Not Your Typical Underworld Story
Spare a minute for Dario Santini, a shrewd oxygen breather who whizzes past life, one mob order at a time. A meaty enforcer and the debt collector for mob boss Niccolò Mechini, Dario is living life high, enjoying whispered respect, palpable power, and even the affections of a good woman at his beck and call. But when peacocks strut too much, they soon find themselves in the hunter’s sight. One wrong move and Dario’s life suddenly pivots on a 360-degree axis. The bullet-riddled cement becomes his untimely bed and hell—literally—becomes his new snazzy address. Not so peachy, except that Dario is a man who finds opportunity in every damnation, even if it’s eternal.
The Grisly Aesthetics
The launch of “GODFATHER OF HELL” is nothing short of showbiz, atop a saliently incredible line of homage variants of crime movie posters, the talent on par with a deadly assortment of A-list artists from Nathan Gooden (Barbaric), Joshua Hixson (Deviant), to mention but a few.
The Fallen Angel’s New Venture
The “GODFATHER OF HELL” not only hamburgers up the lane for exciting gangster noir and exploitative exorcist terror but provides viewers with the coveted backstage access – the storyline from the demons’ perspective. Dario finds hell to be another mob trap. Armed with his instinctive knowledge of working rackets, he intends to beat the Devil at his sinister game. All in hopes of pulling those he cherishes out of eternal damnation.
Adding Sinister to Sinister
“People say the devil is in the details, but for ‘GODFATHER OF HELL,’ it seems damnation is everywhere, lurking around every shadow tickling the corner of your eyes. Human souls are now at play, and possession, power, and passion become a universal currency in this thrilling tale,” says Pius Bak. “For me, the chance to merge the monstrous with the macabre has been nothing but absolute fun.”
Buckle up, folks! Hell might be flaming hot, but it’s also about to get really interesting. We bet you an immortal soul on that.
