Magic in the Air: Crunchyroll’s Exciting New English Dub Release

Crunchyroll has announced a thrilling addition to its streaming lineup. Coming Wednesday, anime buffs can dive into the magic with a same-day English dub of "Magic Maker: How to Make Magic in Another World." Adapted from Kazuki Kaburagi’s celebrated light novel series, this anime promises adventure and mysticism.

A Stellar Team Embarks on a Magical Journey

The English dub boasts an impressive team. Jeremy Inman directs, while Samantha Herek takes the reins as producer. Macy Anne Johnson lends her skills in script adaptation. Meanwhile, James Baker mixes, and Zachary Davis manages the engineering front. The series officially debuts on TV this Wednesday. Crunchyroll streams it simultaneously on its platform as it airs.

Anime enthusiasts can catch the series on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, BS NTV, and AT-X. For those streaming online, ABEMA and d Anime Store have you covered. An advance screening took place on December 21 at United Cinemas Toyosu in Tokyo. Fans enjoyed a sneak peek, joined by the main cast.

Under the watchful eye of Kazuomi Koga, the series springs to life at Studio DEEN. Renowned writer Keiichirō Ōchi pens the scripts, ensuring the storyline captivates. Character design falls to Takayuki Noguchi, whose deft touch guides Shion and Marie’s journey. Kei Yoshikawa and Kana Hashiguchi orchestrate the series’ soundscape. Music production lies with TOY’S FACTORY, ready to enchant with its melodies. Meanwhile, XIIX delivers the entrancing opening theme, "Kirameki" (Twinkle).

From Light Novel to Anime Stardom

Kaburagi’s tale of rebirth and magical longing first captivated readers in 2017. Published on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website, it remains a must-read. Kadokawa brought these mystical adventures to print in May 2020. Illustrator Kururi’s artistry graced these pages, with the second volume arriving in December.

By December 2025, the third volume reached eager hands. Adding to the tale’s charm, Tomozō Nishioka launched a manga version in June 2021 via the Manga Doa app. Mag Garden played its part, releasing the first volume in December 2021, and by February 2023, the third volume was available.
