Gunn Unveils Post-Superman Premiere for Peacemaker
The second season of Peacemaker is, indeed, in the pipeline. Expect a debut date in the tail end of 2025, Gunn confirmed on Threads. This follows the fresh Superman adaptation scheduled to grace screens in July of the same year. Gunn quipped, “2025 after Superman,” solidifying the timeline.
Though filming is already in action, the second installment won’t air until late 2025. It seems DC Studios shifted the original release plan. Superman will launch the new lineup, setting the stage for later entries. Peacemaker falls directly into this lineup, cementing its critical role in DC’s well-woven story web.
Old and New Faces in Peacemaker Season 2
John Cena will reprise his Peacemaker role. Danielle Brooks returns as Leota Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, and Steve Agee as John Economos. The second season welcomes Sol Rodríguez, Tim Meadows, David Denman, and Frank Grillo to the DC Universe join the ensemble.
Season 1 closed with plenty of plot shakeups. The team claimed victory over the Butterflies and Adebayo unveiled the deceptive exploits of her mother, Amanda Waller. Season 2 picks up from this point, albeit with a few narrative twists.
