Marvel Phase 6: What We Know So Far
Marvel Phase 6 is still a way off, but with all the news from San Diego Comic-Con 2024 and recent Phase 5 releases, it’s time to refresh our knowledge.
Current Phase 5 Highlights
We’re deep into Phase 5 with Deadpool & Wolverine’s recent release and the upcoming Disney Plus series Agatha All Along. The real excitement begins with Fantastic Four in 2025, marking the start of Phase 6.
Upcoming Marvel Phase 6 Releases
Kevin Feige revealed several entries in Phase 6 at San Diego Comic-Con 2022. However, there have been some delays and changes. The confirmed release dates are:
- Fantastic Four: July 25, 2025
- Blade: November 7, 2025
- Untitled Marvel Movie One: February 13, 2026
- Avengers: Doomsday: May 1, 2026

Fantastic Four
Release Date: July 25, 2025
The MCU’s take on Fantastic Four drops in July 2025, kicking off Phase 6. The cast includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm. Julia Garner will play Silver Surfer, and Ralph Ineson is set as Galactus.
Blade
Release Date: November 7, 2025
Mahershala Ali stars in Blade, Marvel’s second R-rated movie. Despite production delays and changes in the creative team, excitement remains high. Ali’s Blade was teased in Eternals’ post-credits scene. Delroy Lindo and Mia Goth are also part of the cast.
Avengers: Doomsday
Release Date: May 1, 2026
Originally Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, this movie shifted focus to Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. The Russo brothers will direct, and the film will feature the Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts. The shift from Kang came after Jonathan Majors’ legal issues.
Future Marvel Phase 6 Projects
Avengers: Secret Wars
Release Date: May 7, 2027
Secret Wars promises an epic showdown between Marvel’s heroes and villains. Mark Ruffalo hinted the movie would “go out with a bang.” Doctor Doom, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr., will be the main antagonist.
Potential Phase 6 Films and Shows
Several undated projects include Vision, Wonder Man, Nova, Shang-Chi 2, Doctor Strange 3, Thor 5, and X-Men. Vision is a WandaVision spin-off set to air on Disney Plus in 2026. Wonder Man, starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, will be a Hollywood satire. Nova’s project is still in early stages.
Shang-Chi 2 is confirmed, with Simu Liu returning. Doctor Strange 3 could explore more multiverse madness. Thor 5 may continue from Love and Thunder’s cliffhangers. X-Men might enter the MCU in Phase 6, following hints from Ms. Marvel and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Other Possible Sequels
Potential sequels include Moon Knight season 2 and Hawkeye season 2. Black Panther 3 is also likely, with Shuri as the new Panther and T’Challa’s son introduced in Wakanda Forever.
Armor Wars, now a movie, will follow Rhodey dealing with Stark tech in the wrong hands. The Wakanda/Okoye spin-off may also explore more stories from the Black Panther universe.
