SEGA’s Sonic Central Event Offers Exciting Insights
SEGA’s Sonic Central event revealed fresh details about upcoming additions to the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Highlights featured details on Sonic x Shadow Generations, updates for Sonic Rumble, Sonic Dream Team, Sonic Racing, and the introduction of new characters in Sonic Dash, Sonic Dash+, and Sonic Forces.
Sonic x Shadow Generations Draws Closer
SEGA unveiled a thrilling new story trailer for Sonic x Shadow Generations, teasing fans with a closer look at Shadow’s standalone campaign. There was also a glimpse at some exciting prologue animations. The event provided more information about the physical pre-order incentive, Gerald Robotnik’s Journal, presented with a nostalgic vibe of the early 2000s. Until October 6, 2024, fans can pre-order the Limited Run Games Collector’s Edition. A Sonic and Shadow Dreamcast statue forms part of the exclusive collector items available.
Say Hello to Sonic Rumble
Sonic Rumble was another much-touted release. It’s an all-new mobile party game available this winter on both mobile and PC. Gear up for races and challenges as you collect rings and unlock a giant selection of cosmetic collectibles.
New Characters Join Sonic Dash and Sonic Forces
The excitement doesn’t end there. Sonic Dash, Sonic Dash+, and Sonic Forces will see the addition of new characters. Valhalla Surge, a new Challenger capable of casting multiple axes, is available for players to unlock right now. The latter part of the year promises the arrival of more characters – the mysterious Oni Mephiles, the fearless Warrior Shadow, and the delightful Dulce Amy.
Sonic Dream Team Offer New Experiences
Since its 2023 launch, Sonic Dream Team added numerous updates for fans to explore. These additions include new boss missions, collectibles, an entirely new Zone and a special end-game stage. A new playable character is scheduled to join the game later this year.
Racing Gets an Upgrade in Sonic Racing
Sonic Racing introduced a wealth of new updates including a Time Trial mode that tests players’ speed as they unlock new character styles, including Rockstar Rouge and DJ Vector. Other updates, like the launch of Popstar Amy, are in the pipeline.
Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble Joins the Party
Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble also rolled into the spotlight with a new Shadow the Hedgehog costume. As part of SEGA Costume Pack, this costume is now available for purchase on Nintendo eShop. In celebration of Sonic x Shadow Generations, players can customize their monkeys with Sonic and Shadow-themed monkey balls, available as free downloads on Nintendo eShop.
Two Point Museum Comes with a Nifty Pre-order Offer
Two Point Museum also offered a unique Sonic and Shadow-themed pre-order incentive. This offer, available for a limited time, provides players the chance to design Sonic-themed museum spaces down to the finest detail.
