The world’s largest celebration of Japanese pop culture, the Anime Expo, is speeding towards us with the excitement of a runaway bullet train. While the second day of the expo only just dawned, Yen Press is already making waves with a tsunami of new announcements. The publishing giant unveiled an impressive lineup of twelve new manga and novel licenses, three fresh titles from Ize Press, and a delightful surprise for the youngest demographic – a kids’ novel.

Beginning the cavalcade is the manga sensation ‘Delicious in Dungeon.’ With popularity rocketing sky-high due to a triumphant anime adaptation on Netflix, it’s no surprise Yen Press opted to create a dedicated manga boxset. Designed as a monstrous feast for ravenous readers, the compendium encompasses all fourteen volumes, accompanying characters Laios, Marcille, Chilchuck, and Senshi on their subterranean adventures. The magic of the boxset is reflected in its thoughtful design, mimicking the intricate mimic treasure chest from the manga. Next on the list is the third collection of ‘Sword Art Online abec Artworks New World’ by abec and Reki Kawahara. Last but not least, Yen Press’s children’s imprint, JY for Kids, unveiled its latest treasure – ‘Catalog of Wonders.’ The release of this charming new story is anticipated to happen in December 2024.
