Contrary to speculations, the original X-Men cast did not make their return beside Hugh Jackman in Deadpool & Wolverine. Fan-favorite Patrick Stewart as Professor X made no appearance either, sparking even more rumors. The absence of these OGs has led to speculations that Marvel Studios might be saving their grand entrance for the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars or perhaps even Avengers: Doomsday.

Recently, Halle Berry, famous for her role as Storm, faced questions about a possible comeback. While promoting her film Never Let Go, she artfully avoided a definite response saying, “You never know. We’ll find out!”

Halle Berry’s response: A hint or a diversion?

Her answer wasn’t a clear no, nor was it a definitive yes. At present, if she were to be cast in any MCU Multiversal Avengers project, it’s unlikely she could disclose anything. However, considering her evasive answer, along with Kelsey Grammer’s hints of reprising his role as Beast after his cameo in The Marvels, it seems something might indeed be brewing.

As per Grammer, he’s had “some conversations” about bringing Beast back, spurred by the “overwhelming response” to his cameo. However, he was quick to state, “There’s nothing I can talk about.”

Earlier this, James Marsden, the man behind Cyclops, was also queried about his possible return to the franchise. His response? “That’s a bit of a Pandora’s box.” With Channing Tatum winning over fans as Gambit, Hugh Jackman back in the saddle as Logan, all we need now is Halle Berry as Storm, Marsden as Cyclops, Famke Janssen as Jean Grey, Patrick Stewart back as Xavier, Anna Paquin as Rogue, and Grammer as Beast to complete the adult ensemble from X-Men: The Animated Series.
