Minifigure Generator Launches Gradually

August TalesIn anticipation of the forthcoming animated biopic on Pharrell Williams, ‘Piece by Piece’, Focus Features recently launched an inventive “Piece By Piece LEGO Minifigure Generator.” The innovative generator, compatible with both mobile and desktop platforms, offers fans a unique opportunity to engage with the renowned producer’s story in an interactive way, allowing them to construct their own LEGO Minifigures modeled after the film’s characters.

Template of Creativity

Directed by Oscar-winning director, Morgan Neville, ‘Piece by Piece’ offers an animated glimpse into the life of Pharrell, a journey painted in LEGO bricks. To keep the excitement high, the Minifigure Generator was created as an immersive extension of this creativity. What sets it apart is its expansive customization options.

Fans can design their own Minifigure character with a choice of seven skin tone options and over 60 hairstyles. With 90 different clothing styles to opt from, users can add an authentic touch to their creations with exclusive pieces from Pharrell’s fashion label, Billionaire Boys Club. Moreover, the generator also pulls facial expressions directly from the film’s scenes to add an additional layer of personality to these bespoke LEGO Minifigures.

LEGO Collaborations

In the past, LEGO integrated Pharrell’s influencer into their product with the LEGO Group co-designed set ‘Over the Moon’. This collaboration, marked by a space shuttle featuring a rainbow jet stream – a nod to Pharrell’s passion for space – was emblematic of their inclusive approach. The diversity of the skin tones included in the set was extraordinary – seven in total, the broadest range ever featured in a LEGO product.

Pharrell’s Multifaceted Career

In tandem with the title of his upcoming film, Pharrell has released a new original song, aptly titled “Piece By Piece.” Pharrell’s repertoire extends beyond being a producer and songwriter. He’s also a recording artist and currently serves as the Creative Director of Louis Vuitton.

Pharrell, a two-time Academy Award nominee, has found acclaim with his track “Happy” from Despicable Me 2 and for producing the critically acclaimed film, Hidden Figures. The upcoming ‘Piece by Piece’, produced by Pharrell’s company i am OTHER, in collaboration with LEGO, is centered on his life story and formative years. The film is all set to hit the theatres on Oct. 11.
