New Art Shared by My Hero Academia Creator

My Hero Academia: Lady Nagant’s Return Art Shared by Kohei Horikoshi

By: August Tales

Kohei Horikoshi may have concluded My Hero Academia’s manga, yet the artist remains in action. In the latest episode of My Hero Academia, unforeseen events unfolded, causing chaos for UA Academy’s heroes. Kurogiri’s waking brought Deku and his crew substantial difficulty. Villains being teleported to varying spots created havoc. This threw Class 1-A’s primary plans into disarray.

Notably, past villains arrived as unexpected assistance for the crime fighters. Among them were La Brava, Gentle Criminal, and sharpshooter Lady Nagant. Along with these, the series creator, Kohei Horikoshi presented new art for Lady Nagant, who made a timely return to prevent Shigaraki from causing severe harm to UA Academy.

Unveiling Lady Nagant’s History

Looking back, Lady Nagant enters the scene in My Hero Academia’s sixth season. A pivotal part of the “Dark Hero Arc”, she initially worked under All For One’s commands. Her task—capture Deku and deliver him to the series’ main antagonist. Previously, Nagant served the Public Safety Commission, carrying out the group’s covert activities. Unable to reconcile with her past actions, she ousted a high-ranking official within the PSC. As a result, she was relegated to Tartarus, a top-security prison.

However, Deku’s actions prompted a profound transformation in Nagant. Switching sides once more, she materialized at a critical juncture for the heroes.

Lady Nagant on the Rebound

With the manga concluding, Horikoshi has freed up some time. He capitalizes on this to generate new art of his favourite manga characters. His focus, quite evidently, is on these illustrations. Along with the launch of the current anime episode, Kohei gave fans an in-depth peek at Lady Nagant’s transformation—from hero to villain, and back to hero.

Scripting a Future

As it stands, Horikoshi hasn’t confirmed whether My Hero Academia will be extended or spun off. Yet, it’s worth noting that the manga’s conclusion doesn’t signify an immediate end to the anime adaptation. With one more TV season expected to wrap the narrative and a fourth film premiering this fall, there is plenty more animation to anticipate for Class 1-A.
