New Year, New Ventures

The new year brings an ambitious slate of projects. We’ve been in talks with major event organizers. Our goal is to bring Broken Frontier panels back to you in 2025. We aim to resurrect a beloved BF classic, unseen since 2018. This endeavor marks our boldest move in eight years. Much is brewing, though some plans remain under wraps.

Our cornerstone mission endures. We champion new voices, spotlight socially relevant work, and explore comics that push narrative boundaries.

Reflecting on 2024 Achievements

2024 marked a milestone year. Our ‘Six to Watch’ initiative celebrated its tenth anniversary. we hosted an exhibition and panel at St. Margaret’s House, Bethnal Green. The Gosh! Comics party brought together over thirty creators. This event left us with cherished memories.

Returning to the Lakes International Comic Art Festival and Thought Bubble was daunting. Yet, the warm welcomes made it a breeze. We took pride in our Pride Month coverage and extensive Thought Bubble Month features. Lydia Turner’s dedication to ShortBox Fair content excelled with thirteen stellar reviews.

Looking Ahead with Determination

As 2025 unfolds, challenges await, especially for marginalized communities. It’s crucial to stand against bigotry and anti-progressive rhetoric in comics. Support creators who foster inclusion. Boycott platforms that promote hate. Prioritize the comics community and vulnerable voices.

Our Broken Frontier Connects initiative could use more engagement. We offer community support, including free advertising for vital work. Zoom sessions for UK creators will increase this year. Our commitment to socially conscious comics and supporting marginalized artists remains steadfast.

Supporting Future Frontier

To keep Broken Frontier thriving, we need your help. Our site operates at a financial loss. If you value our work, consider making a donation through Ko-fi. Even a small contribution can sustain our efforts. Let’s ensure Broken Frontier’s legacy lasts.

We look forward to engaging with you all in 2025. From events to comic shops, let’s connect and celebrate our shared love for comics. We’ll see you out there!
