“House of Slaughter #25: Second Run!”
‘The Butcher’s War’ Finale Feeds Fans’ Frenzy
In the jubilant melee that is comic book retail, adolescence isn’t considered the finish line – it’s more akin to a speed bump. Slow down, take a breather, maybe do a victory lap, but then rev that engine and put the pedal to the metal. The latest in this high-octane proverbial highway? None other than HOUSE OF SLAUGHTER #25, the offspring of BOOM! Studios, the comic book genius factory. Fly off the shelves, it did, and back it is – with a second printing in the works.
Helmed by Tate Brombal and Antonio Fuso, this issue is the be-all and end-all of Jace Boucher’s escapades – a deadly denouement to an epic narrative that’s left its fans gasping for breath over the course of THE BUTCHER’S WAR. When tragedy strikes and Jace uncovers the horrific aftermath, the stakes escalate from vengeful to personal. The real thought to ponder here is – will Sunny escape the viper-like clutches of the Dragon?
In a surprising turn of events (just kidding, the fans were gagging for it), BOOM! Studios has announced the return of the HOUSE OF SLAUGHTER #25 in a SECOND PRINTING, penciled in for an August 28, 2024 release. The fan-favorite cover will be designed by the series’ own artist, Antonio Fuso, aided by Miquel Muerto’s color splashes.
Regards and Revelations
On the topic of the second printing, Josh Hayes, the top brass in the sales department at BOOM! Studios, bloomed with gratitude. Hats off to the retailers’ overwhelming response and the undying love from the fans. The climax of The Butcher’s War, he added, is such a momentous spectacle, it’s as unmissable as a space elephant in a phone booth.
The HOUSE OF SLAUGHTER is the shiny new toy in BOOM! Studios’ toy box, nesting cheek by jowl with the likes of venerable names such as Keanu Reeves, Ron Garney, and James Tynion IV. But don’t worry, this isn’t a popularity contest – each comic from the imprint has its own distinctive allure and fan base. Whether you’re up for something bone-chilling like ‘Stuff of Nightmares’ or more thought-provoking like ‘A Vicious Circle’, there’s a flavor for every palate.
Fear not, if you missed the first wave. Your local comic shops might still have leftovers of the HOUSE OF SLAUGHTER #25 FIRST PRINTING. Digital enthusiasts can also bag their copy from Google Play, iBooks, and Kindle. With volumes 1 to 3 of HOUSE OF SLAUGHTER available wherever books huddle, it’s never too late to binge-read.
