Star Wars fans, prepare for a thrilling ride back to the galaxy’s gritty realm. The upcoming animated anthology series, Tales of the Underworld, revives two cherished bounty hunters, Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane, hitting Disney+ on May 4, 2025.

Ventress and Bane Return

Following the tales laid down by Tales of the Jedi and Tales of the Empire, the new series shifts its focus to characters skirting the galaxy’s edges. Ventress and Bane come to life across six gripping episodes, tracing their paths post-Clone Wars amid the Empire’s rise. Ventress, once a feared Sith assassin, dons a new cloak of mystery. Armed with her yellow lightsaber, she clashes with a red-bladed nemesis while guiding a Padawan through the chaos of post-Order 66. Meanwhile, Cad Bane sticks to his roots, embroiled in a tense face-off with a former ally turned lawman.

The official trailer promises high-octane action and palpable tension. Ventress remains elusive, ever on the run, while Bane engages in a classic standoff under a sky filled with ominous steelpeckers. The official poster teases the return of Latts Razzi from The Clone Wars, seamlessly weaving into the visual tapestry established by past series, with the credit symbol taking center stage this time.

Cast and Crew

The voice talents of Nika Futterman and Corey Burton breathe life into Ventress and Bane once more. They are joined by Artt Butler, Lane Factor, AJ LoCascio, Clare Grant, Dawn-Lyen Gardner, and Eric Lopez. Conceived by Dave Filoni, the series is guided under his expert supervision, with Athena Yvette Portillo and Carrie Beck as executive producers.
