New Tomb Raider Animated Series Premieres on Netflix in October

Our beloved archaeologist-adventurer Lara Croft is back in action. After a substantial hiatus from films, and only appearing in video games, the character finds herself on a new adventure this October. Netflix gears up to bring the iconic character back to our screens with a fresh animated series, titled, “Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft.” Prime Video is also joining the Croft revival with its upcoming live-action show.
Marvel’s Hayley Atwell, known for her role as Agent Peggy Carter, is set to voice the titular adventurer. Brace for action, as the new series lands amidst a fascinating blend of danger, adventure, and intrigue.

The new series takes off following the events of the successful Tomb Raider Survivor trilogy (Tomb Raider; Rise of the Tomb Raider; Shadow of the Tomb Raider). It maps out Lara Croft’s thrilling journey, extending even after more than 25 years of her popping up on our screens.

After the Survivor trilogy’s frenzy, Croft sets out solo, leaving her comrades behind. However, her journey is anything but relaxing.
The plot thickens when an intruder steals an impactful Chinese artifact from Croft Manor, forcing Lara Croft to take chase. Making matters even more personal, the thief shares a mutual history with Croft. Isn’t that always the culprit?
